Al Horford has reportedly signed a 2-year, $19.5 million contract with the Boston Celtics, according to Spotrac. The deal includes $19.5 million guaranteed and an average annual salary of $9.75 million.
The 37-year-old center's first season under the new contract will be the 2023-24 season, where he will earn a base salary of $10 million. Horford has the option to opt out of the second year of the contract.
Horford has played 15 seasons in the NBA, averaging 13.6 points, 9.1 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game. He has been a key contributor to the Celtics' success in recent years, helping them reach the NBA Finals in 2022.
